Intro

The Great Human Empire crumbled, and the world plunged into darkness. In the wake of strife, kingdoms rose on the backs of heroes grandiose and monumental. It was an age of heroism, when the light fought back the night, and mortal majesty was plain for all to see, but it could not last, and in the cold breath of death that age fell to a time of misery. It was an age of loss, where the power of struggle fell away to the might of expenditure, when the intervention of gods was bought not in faith but in bodies. For over a century, the world was forged in the blood of forgotten soldiers, and heroism was lost to tales of long-forgotten times. It was an era eternal, a new night to blanket reality for all time, but in her tread, it ends. Dawn is rising and with it breaks a new day, an age of the Scarlet Mage. Draped in night, the first hero of tomorrow strides, in her hand a new empire is forged, and in her wake, forgiveness becomes the law of the land. Behind her, follows the next age of heroes, and in their rise, the gods falter, and an age of morals comes. But in the ascent of Scarlet, death watches on from her tower of crystal and laughs at their hope, for the end of everything comes on the back of a world born dead.
